Evening all!! I do NOT want my hen to go broody...but my little roo keeps mounting her ( don't know if he is doing anything cuz he is 1/2 her size) I only want her for the delicious eggs she puts out, so if she does go broody and lays a bunch of eggs should I just take her off of them and take the eggs? Will she only lay one egg at a time, so I can continue to just take the egg a day?

Yes, she will lay one egg a day, depending on her breed it could be every other day that she lays though.

I wouldn't set eggs from the bantam rooster, if she does go broody then get some fertilized eggs from a friend.

Going broody has nothing to do with a roo mating her. Hens may go broody with no roo present, even with no eggs under her, or they may never go broody, despite being mated.

If she starts sitting on a nest all day and night, look up how to break a broody on here. Til then, no problem.
