Can someone please help me figure out the dosing of the above Nystatin. I am horrible at math and this stuff! I want to make some up to treat for possible yeast in Roos mouth. We can use 5 pound weight for dosing math. Also can I make up some to last a few days or do I need to make it up individually each time?
Thank you

Dosage of Nystatin for chickens is 200,000-300,000 units per kilogram of weight (every 2.2 pounds) given every 8-12 hours. So, if you have a kitchen scale each gram is 100,000 units. If he is 5 pounds that is 2.2 Kg He could have 440,000 to 660,00 units every 12 hours. If you mix it 1 gram to an ml, which is what most info says, that would be a lot of fluid to have give him (4.4-6.6 ml) every 12 hours. 5 grams is around a tsp. I would be tempted to give him a tsp (5grams) of powder mixed with a treat of watery food or scrambled egg if he would eat it all. That would be 500,000 units, right in the middle of dosage for his weight. Then if he is drinking normally, that would be fairly easy. Please check my math. Here in post 11 is the dosage if you want to double check:

They have a more powerful powder here that is 400,000 units per gram.
