Dosage of aspirin for chickens, I am confused as both are giving different dosages

No, that's what I've seen recommended, & I've used the dosage I've told you successfully.

I use it for pain management only, with birds that have a sprain, or possibly bumblefoot.

I would use the low dose 81 mg aspirin and use 1/2 tablet orally or in a small amount of food (not mixed with water,) once or twice a day. It can cause intestinal bleeding if used more than 2-3 days. If all you have is 325 mg tablets, cut it into 4 pieces which are 81 mg each.

I have 300 mg only

You can use either an 1/8 or a 1/4. Many use 81 mg, but I usually use half of that. It may be too difficult to cut it that small, but 1/4 tablet won’t hurt her.

Hi - does it matter the coating of the tablet? Or if using liquid suspension, are any flavors/dyes toxic?
