Dots on comb

Hello, I am new to having chickens and one of mine has these dots on her comb. I have tried to exam and it looks like little scabs, however being new I don't want to miss anything important. I researched online and it doesn't look like fowl pox. Can anyone offer any advise or help. Thanks

My leghorns get this as well. I think its from the rooster grabbing the comb to keep his balance and causing small injuries.
