Hi, please can someone tell me if I’m correct in thinking the two at the front of the second photo are males and the two in the other photo are females? Another photo of the one I think is male and one I hope is female. I need to spend some more time observing the rosettas I’ve seen one crowing but want to make sure I get the correct one. There is a grey one which is definitely male as crowing and I’ve seen a foamy poo but he attacks me when I go in to top up the food or clean is this normal?

I am not experienced..but as far as I can tell the purple arrows are female.. blue arrow guy on top looks male..not sure about the bottom guy, if he crows, male..(I think that you are correct)..third picture female.

How old are they? Agree the blue arrows look male, and purple are most likely female - there's no spotless streak down the middle of their chest, right?

You can try pecking the male with your finger to stop him from attacking you.

I would squirt him with vinegar/water when he attacks, he will probably get the message quickly.

The foamy poo thingy means that he's definitely a male (an that he's in season). Females have spots on the their breasts and males don't as far as I know. I have 2 Texas A & M quail and the only way I made sure they were males were that they were crowing. Boys do attack you as seen on my profile pic but just poke them back or raise your hand above of them (as a sign of dominance, it works most of the time on my boys except one, the one in my profile pic lol).
