Hi all!
I have a Chantecleur hen that's a year or older laying double-yolkers.
Sidenote;
I bought four Chant hens and I'm unsure which is the one laying the Dy's, but I'm sure it's safe to assume it's the younger ones which were spring hatch last year (2019).
In Nov/December of last year I started getting DY's and assumed it was one of the pullets starting to lay. Now it's March 2020 & I am still consistently getting DY's every 1-2 days.
From what I can find this is pretty uncommon. I've checked over my girls, there seems to be no issues. I have not tried a vet as they aren't very knowledgeable on birds in my area.
Has anyone heard of, or had a hen do this? Will it maybe still peter out within the next year?
The picture I've added shows the DY's I get, second from the right.
