Dove ratio ?????

Wow, I am so new to doves. I feel stupid asking this question. I am going to get doves to go in my out door avairy. I know that most dove form a pair, but if i were going to get some juvinile unsexed & unbonded birds. Should I be looking for a certian ratio male vs. female?

If doves are as much like pigeons as I think, extra males are the bigger problem. They will try to "steal" hens and nest sites. Extra hens do not generally cause as many problems. Of course the ideal ratio would be 1/1.

it's better to have 1/1. Any other way will usually cause alot of fighting,etc.But if you can't do that,i would only put maybe 1 male to every 3 females.
