Doxycycline for button quail

What is the correct dosage for doxycycline that has 50mg per ml for a quail that wheys 1.4 oz ?

Plumbs says 50 mg/kg per day divided into doses.
So you use 25 mg/kg (11 mg/lb) every 12 hours.
With that medicine and weight that = 0.02 ml every 12 hours.

As far as the duration, it looks like it says to give for 45 days. Wow that seems like a long time so I don't know about that part.
