Did anyone else see todays show where he explained that any eggs in the dairy section that were above the "load line" in the cooler were best left there as they would be developing into chickens since the temp might be above 43deg F....???

I recently had a neighbour's four year old grandson help me collect the eggs, then I suggested he take them home to his Mom. Grandma insisted that they be kept in the fridge for the hour before they left or else they would "go bad".... Didn't point out to her that they had been sitting in a chicken nest for who knows how many hours at coop temp (except when a hen had been in the nest)

How interesting...most if the time my eggs sit in the counter for up to a week before I put mine in the fridge. We find that they are great for baking that way. So far no developing chicks in them.

Wow, just when I thought Dr. Oz had learned his lesson after having to make a public apology about his apple juice scare. I can't believe people still watch or listen to him! Except for comedy relief, I guess...

Wait what? Was he talking about a grocery store? None of the eggs there are even fertile. Even so, Dr. Oz is an idiot. The egg has to be around 80 degrees internally to start the developmental process. Mitosis doesnt just happen at any given temperature. And you're right lol. I have eggs sitting on my counter top right now. I actually dont even know how long they've even been sitting there. Nor do i know how long they've been sitting in my coop lol.

I never put my eggs in the fridge I have had many fertile egg produced but none had chicks in except the ones the hen kept warm.
