Im new to dragon fruit and would like to know how to identify a flowerbud vs a branch. Here is the clearest picture I have.

dont mind the hand in the background. Or the ants

I'm actually curious about the same thing! I'll watch this thread, hopefully an experienced dragon fruit grower will have some knowledge to share on the subject.

What kind of dragon fruit plant is this? Hylocereus Undatus (white flesh and pink skin)?

Do you grow your dragon fruit indoors in pots or outdoors in the ground?

Feel no pressure to answer if you don't want to, I'm just interested in growing dragon fruit myself before too long.

We got it from a market. They just said it was dragon fruit. Not what type. Im guessing it’s what ever is most common.

Its outdoors in the most sunny spot we have (roughly 8-9 hours of sun in sping- summer and 6-7 in winter-fall.
Its in a pot with a trellis. Allthough, you can plant it in the ground and it will also grow well.

I also have a seedling of the white flesh pink skin one. Its only 5 inches tall. I had a white flesh yellow skin one, but too much rain fall.
