So I've had two ducks for a long time now and they got along fine, my drake never acted aggressive towards my hen and they were two peas in a pod. Recently I added three Pekin hens to my flock and he has completely switched personalities. I had been looking for hens for a long time because I didn't want him to become more aggressive towards the single hen, but it's had the opposite effect and he's been absolutely ripping the feathers out of my new hens while breeding them. It seems like I've caused the exact behavior I was trying to prevent, is there any way to make him calm down? I've had them for weeks now and they are not functioning like a complete unit, the three hens run away from him when I let them all out and his "wife" runs around doing what she wants while he tags along and keeps her "safe" from literally everything. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Have all the females separated from the drake but where they can see each other give the drake time to meet and greet without being able to touch them and wait maybe a week and then try putting one of the new girls in with him if that goes good try another until they are all together it may take a week or longer but it may work. We always rec any time your introducing new flock member you set them up where they can meet and greet but not touch. If you introduce and reintroduce he might accept all 4 together.
