Drake Exibiting Weird Behavior Toward Me

Honestly, I don't even know what is going on with my drake. He was sick recently with worms and I've handled him a lot more than normal. (Usually I just accept they don't like to be touched and watch them) But the past two days he's started acting strange toward me. He doesn't try to really run from me when I catch him, but he no longer comes when I call. I sort of expected those two things, but he's starting to do this weird thing with his wings, only when I'm around. He'll walk toward me and his wings will sort of twitch. They won't unfold off of his back but the curve of his wing near his neck starts to go in and out, like he thinks he's about to fly or something. I don't think it's anything serious, but I'm curious if anyone else has a duck that does this and what it means.

My ducks do that when they are stressed or overly warm. How hot is it where you are?

It's VERY hot. I think 101. They have shade and cold water but they won't lay in front of the fan I put out there. Idk how to keep them any cooler.

I bring mine into the walkout basement pen if it is near 100. But I know that is not an option for most people. Just wondering if there is a non-standard cool space you could have them, temporarily, in the middle of the day.
