I was curious at what age that usually shows up? I have a feeling I am seeing just a kinked baby feather but I wanted to make sure. We are wanting this little one to be a girl so bad for eggs but a little drake wouldn't be loved any less.
This Ducky is 2 weeks old... No real feathers yet. But its tail is starting to feather out *slightly* but not real feathers yet... But this morning when I went to go feed them this morning Ducky has one "feather/feather fluff" on his tail that is completely curled up. Just like all the photos of drakes.
Can it be? Or more likely a kinked feather fluff?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
