My 6 year old Golden Cascade drake has been a little laggy lately and just doesn't seem to be feeling his oats at this specific time of year. He lays down a lot, Not interested in the fun stuff much. I have 4 hens.
Im wondering if there is a nutritional supplement I can try. I feed them game bird chow over winter and duck layer now. They have tons of lawn to forage and good water. No pond. The hens seem fine and are laying.

I can't say whether your drakes lack of interest is within the normal range of behavior. It likely is. I can offer a suggestion on a supplement.

Rooster Booster Poultry Cell is a vitamin and mineral supplement that can be added to the duck's water. I use it for ducks recovering from trauma or for rescued ducks that have likely poor nutritional status.

I recently discovered Rooster Booster Poultry Booster that is a fine granular supplement that you add very small amounts to the duck's feed. I am currently using it for rescued jumbo pekin ducklings that are growing incredibly fast! Both should be available from your feed store or on line from Amazon

Given in the recommended doses, these 2 supplements will not harm your boy and will not mask any underlying health problem. They might give him some umph!
