Drake or duck? Hmmm.. NEW WITH VIDEO!!!

Ducks will quack soon, if they aren't already, drakes still make baby squeaks at this age. Until the drake feather shows up, you can't be sure. I go by the sounds they make and I've always been correct.
 
Thats the thing. I am 100% sure a different one that I have is a drake and it quacks. I mean REALLY loud QUACK and the others sort of hiss and you can hardly hear them.

Do you see the dark brown duck in the 2nd pic? That is my drake. He has a shiny green head, he tries to mate and so on. AND HE QUACKS! The others voice is starting to change. I don't know how but I'm going to try to post a video. It will probably be a link to YouTube.
 
Boy, it's a hard call. Maybe you have to wait for egg laying or that curly tail --

My females have all started with a definite "quack quack quack", but I did have one drake that had a quack that was just slightly lower than the girls and he quacked a lot. But he did have a curly tail and was definitely a he.
