My scovy drake came out of his coop this morning and made a sneeze/cough type of sound a few times and has done it once and a while through out the day.

I do sprinkle DE in the coop as a preventative for mites and other creepy crawlers. Maybe I put too much? Im headed out to clean out the coop now. If its a sinus infection what else do I look for? I put ACV in his water bowls as ive read on here it helps.

What else can I do?

DE is rough on respiratory so that maybe it I hope easily taken care of by not using it. As for sinus infection watch for drainage and mucous and swelling. Use the ACV through the weekend and hopefully you won't have to do antibiotics. 1-2 Tab to 1 gal of water. If your worried about bugs use neem oil {garden center] it is from the Neem tree in AU. very safe to use, I spray out my coops and bedding every month during warm weather early in the morning so by time to go in of an evening it's all dry. I use reg pump garden sprayer and use very warm water to mix and shake often while using

I cleaned out the coop completely today so I guess we will see if that is whats causing it. Mama is also with him and she seems fine. I checked him for the other symptoms you mentioned and he doesn't have any as of yet. I will continue the ACV throughout the weekend. And I will definitely look into the Neem oil. Id much rather us something natural and not harmful to the animals. Thank you for all of your help I truely appreciate it!

Hopefully it will clear up using the ACV and clean coop. Keep us updated.

Im still using the ACV in the water and Donald seems to be back to himself. He and Mama both had raspy voices but now seem to be fine. No more DE being used. Thank you for the help! Id assume the neem oil would also be safe for use in a chicken coop as well?

Yep very safe, I spray in the morning top to bottom and in all nooks and crevices top and bottom of roosts. then let it all air dry till they come in to roost of an evening. Only takes 2 tablespoons of neem oil to 1 gal of very warm water. Most of the tine 1 gallon is enough to do my coop , if I do every house I use 2.

Awesome news about Donald and Mama too. Keep up with the ACV as a tonic a couple times a week.
