I am in debate about what to do with my extra drakes. I have 3 hens and 4 drakes, all are call ducks. My problem is that I do not want to part with my drakes but I am not prepared to get females for every one of them. Will they be happy in their own 'drakes-only' pen? If they would be happier with females I will likely re-home them. I also thought that it was best to keep them in trios but I read a lot about people keeping pairs. Would I be able to put them each with a single female in separate pens? I would be willing to get one more female to try that.
