Drakes head not green anymore

My Drake had the most stunning green head when i got him last August and gradually it stopped being green, is this normal or could there be something wrong with him(he has fathered 24 duckling with 2 ducks) he is a mallard cross/with i dont know what. They eat free range layer pellets for chickens and fruit and vege scraps

Ours did that, I don't know why, but he got his green back. As beautiful color as ever! I am sure it will return

He is most likely going into Eclipse Plumage...don't worry, in a few months he will have his stunning colors back.

It's a little late, but it's probably the eclipse phase like others have said. Most drakes go through it during the fall, so yours would be a little late, but not abnormal.

Late for some reason, but it is eclipse plumage and will happen on a yearly basis.
