dressed weight vs. live weight

just wondering what the average waste is on cornish x's. meaning the difference between live weight and dressed weight. thanks

You can always count on 25% of the bird being waste.

A good safe way of doing live weight is to think of it as whatever your live weight is take 70% of that and that is what will be your dressed weight.

So a 10 lb bird live weight would dress out at 7 lbs or so.
