Dried corn duck treats?

We recently went to a place that had a petting zoo type thing they were selling corn, dried corn kernels to feed the deer and ducks. What’s the consensus on this as a treat? My daughter wants to feed our ducks corn now, I think she dislikes the cold/wet peas and it’s certainly more economical. I know corn itself isn’t harmful, but I worry about processing dried anything, will it expand if they get too much? I’ve seen them eat acorns so I know they can process gnarly stuff

The amount corn expands is trvial (actually the whole issue of certain foods like rice expanding if eaten is just a myth. Yes, it expands but nowhere near enough to cause any sort of problem) so don't worry about that. As a treat corn is fine, just don't let it be more than 10% of their diet

Did you ever try letting her hold a leaf of Romain lettuce while the Ducks tear bites off of it? That’s a lot of fun.
I would not choose whole corn kernels for my ducks but why not get a bag of Good quality, scratch grains , they include corn bits among other grains. All my birds (ducks, chickens, and geese included) Enjoy an occasional handful of scratch grains, yum yum

Probably be good winter forage for them too, I throw hay out and make a giant nest that they can sit in, whenever it snows I throw another bale on top spread around. I sometimes throw meal worms in so they can forage.

My ducks love fresh fruit it might be a little messy but at least they love it!
