Dried goo stuck to navel

Hi again!
I have a polish chick that just hatched this morning that didn't seem to be doing as good as the rest. He mostly just stands with his eyes closed. When I picked him up I noticed that he had a pile of dried on goo and small pieces of shell stuck to his navel. I wasn't sure if I should try to get it off or leave it. I haven't touched it yet.

Put auger in there water or electrolytes and wet her chic feed so its Easter to eat.

Get the shell and gunk wet with a Q-tip and warm water.
Gently pull off if there blood get it wet again and try again.
I would have someone hold the chick.

I would leave the goo since you could pull the guts out. It will fall off on its own. Can you please take a pic of the goo?

Unless the goo is attached to just fluff then pull it off if its the navel for sure deffinantly leave it.

Wet it and see if it falls off it looksbelow the vent.

That goo looks like dried poo wet it down and see if the vent is under it.

If its not,wet the shell down and see if it falls off.

Leave it. It's umbilical cord and maybe a bit of yolk. It will fall off on its own if it stays dry. You can pick the shell off but leave the goo.

Can you find it's butt hole under the tail?
I know you said the goo is stuck to its navel.
