Hey guys, new here and got my first chickens the other day (barely know anything).

So I got 5 water containers of 5 gallons and I want to make it as waterer for the chickens.
I want it to be easy to clean if there gonna be any algae and at the hot summers days I want easy access to be able to put in and out ice container or so.
Also, my coop already small so I think I want it to be outside of the coop.

I'll post picture of the coop and the container (not mine, from google.)

You could put nipples on that one and find a way to hang it. The problem I have with nipple waters is finding something to support that amount of weight without bowing And the nipples freezing in the winter. But people who find a good place to place it and have less harsh winters love the nipple watering system. I personally love the gravity base I got. It’s just the base and the top is any standard 5 gallon bucket. It’s a gravity watering system and if anything happens to the bucket it’s not hard to find a Nother 5 gallon bucket. The base only cost about $10 and 5 gallon bucket‘s are easily available And if you have to buy one they’re only about two dollars
