when i was cleaning the waterers out some made a little puddle, some of the hens seem to really like drinking from the puddle will it hurt them?

I have 3 EEs and got 3 little green eggs today out of one nest box, does that mean they are all laying?

I got one rubber egg and one no shell egg does that mean one of the reds and rocks or 2 that i thought were laying good aren't 100% yet? I got one extra large Rock egg. ?? So where am I?

that's 3 little green, one big tan, and 2 oppsies, maybe I'll have one more egg by bedtime that would make 7/7? if you count ooppsies.

As far as the water goes them drinking from the puddle won't hurt them as long as it doesn't stay there for long...Sometimes chickens are attracted to shiny things and the water Is shiny, So when it's on the ground they seem to think that it is way better than when it was in the waterer .

it was not an 'old' puddle, just what spilled out of the water tank as i take it to clean it, I change and refill the 2 2 gallon water tanks every 2 days for the 7 hens, every day with fresh cool water when it's real hot.

Then it probably isn't harmful. Just don't let them sit around for days.

My chickens think rain puddles are great fun and seem to like drinking out of anything even though I give them daily fresh water. Don't worry about it

Same with mine. I always have fresh clean water for them but as soon as it rains or I water they drink from the little puddles.
