I have a Speckled Sussex chick that is appx 1 week old. We gave vitamin/electrolyte water to our batch of chicks after bringing them home, just to give them the little boost. They've been on regular water for 2 days now. All the chicks seemed like they were doing good.
Last night, I noticed she looked a little droopy and wasn't scratching around with the others. Her crop feels empty. I offered her a fresh egg yolk but she was not interested. I slowly and gentle as I could, forced her to get a little bit of it down. This morning, she seems the same droopy/lethargic. She is still peeping. Crop is still empty as far as I can tell (when they're so little like this). I offered egg yolk mixed with a little warm water and mashed chick feed. Still no interest.
She pooped on me as I was trying to take a picture of her for this post. It's very runny. I added a pic of that as well.

I feel like I'm doing all I can? Should I try more electrolyte/vitamin water? Is there something I'm missing?

Check her umbilical region for swelling and redness. Sometimes they catch an infection if it is not closed properly at hatch.

Try some yellow millet on a dark towel to entice her pecking instinct and some dry sand.

Brooder box, pine shavings with a well secured hanging ceramic heat bulb. Room to move away, coolest corner of the box is 73° Temp under the lamp is 95°
In terms of brooder temps, where does she hang out? Are her wings droopy? For 1 week 95 is to high in my brooder, but there are many different opinions on temps. I do think you're doing all you can btw 🥰

She's hanging out under the lamp. Her wings do seem a little droopy to me. And thank you ❤️ I have yet to lose a chick (or chicken). I don't think I'm an expert in any way, shape or form. We're only 2+ years into our chicken tending journey. I know I can't keep the streak going forever but I've done all I can to avoid heartbreak (especially for my kiddos sake).

To answer your question about going back to pro biotics and electrolytes, actually I would not, a few days is plenty, plain water is good now. It's good that you went with feed mash. I actually keep my chicks on mash for a few weeks, they just seem to really prefer it. I've never lost a chick either but I'm always prepared that it does happen. Keep doing what you're doing, encouraging eating and drinking, heat but for sure also cool zone. Mine start off at max 85-90 for 2 days then I lower temps quite a bit. How many chicks do you have? Do you have chick grit since they're on shavings?

Yes to chick grit. She's still hanging on. I made some more mash and she showed interest. Not sure how much she got down. Her "sisters" lay down when resting but she just stays standing with her head down. 😞 (They're in a spot registering at 90°)
