Drop in Humidity???? ~~GRAPHIC PICS~~ Be Warned

I had a very similiar situation, this last week, but not with all the eggs. Some were popping out with no problems, while others were stuck. If it were the humidity wouldn't it be affecting all the eggs? I keep my humidity about 40% during incubation.

By the way Jody...the one remaining egg of yours that I had popped out with no trouble.

The little one that died in the egg was silver after it dried. I washed it off and dried it I couldn't leave it with that sticky stuff on it. I have 6 in the brooder and a couple are black and I know one so far is silver and the others might be either blue or silver. I checked them this morning real quick before I left to make sure they were ok but didn't pick them up to see what color they were. It was just odd I have no idea what happen. But they others are doing great and I'm not sure on the one egg that is left in the bator. I will check it when I go home. I think it might have stopped growing.

Its just one of those weird things in life. Strange things happen. I hope the others make it. As for me I am going to break my accurite hydrometer. Darn thing is reading 44% and I added soooo much water. GRRR!

Is the green stuff on the chick normal to see? No one has commented on that yet, so I assume that must be normal? Poor chickie! I know you're very experienced, Poison, and I'm sure if anyone could hvae saved it, YOU could have! Thanks for posting pics; while sad to see, it's very educational for us.
