Dropping temperatures - increased frequency and duration of flights

Now that temperatures are dropping, my birds are increasing the frequency and duration of voluntary or spontaneous flights. First noticed when the come off roost but now they are doing the horizontal flights across yard.

I get more active in the fall too! Only thing better than first cool nights is the arrival of our first fall rains!
