I have a 2 yr old barred rock that went through a tough molt, or so I thought.
She lost all tail feathers and that was why we thought she was staggering.you know, like she was drunk.
She then started to look sick and didn't move around much, as she would nearly fall down. I had to lift her up into the coop for a couple of nights. She's now recovering, been drinking tons of water, she just parks in front of it and drinks. She's been eating fine and today even went out into the pasture with the rest of the girls.
Any thoughts? husband thought we should get rid of her, as she's not been much of a layer, but I like a challenge!!
