Dry den pellets for large animals

My dad bought some of these from a feedstore. I was a little concerned because the bag had a bit of a woodsy smell about it, and I thought it might be cedar (although they don't have a strong smell about them). Does anyone know if these pellets have cedar in them? If so, I will switch my chicks to something else.

We use horse pellet bedding for our chickens, it breaks up nicely and smells good for quite a long while. We use the deep litter method with them.
