Ok I've decided I want to use the dry incubation method. And I was wondering if I'm doing it right. From what I read you are supposed to rely on the humidity in the room is that correct .if so my humidity thermometer says its 50 percent humidity is that a good level ?

What is the humidity in the bator? Yes, basically you are relying on the ambient humidity, but you track the humidity in the bator. I use the "dry" method or low humidity method. I run dry as long as my bator stays above 25%. I prefer 30%. If my bator doesn't hold at least 25% I add a wet sponge which usually holds my humidity at 30% in the bator and I keep tabs on the air cells. Here's a better description of how I use the method: http://letsraisechickens.weebly.com...anuals-understanding-and-controlling-humidity
