Hey! I have heard about dry incubation, and that people get better hatch rates using that method. Have you tried it? If you have, please tell me how you did it, and how well it works. Thanks!

I am currently at the end of a dry incubation hatch. I am on day 20 and started with 16 shipped eggs. 5 ended up clear 2 early quitters and 9 in lockdown with 2 pips. So far this is the best batch of shipped eggs for me. I had it between 30-35% humidity up to day 18 then jumped it up to 65%.

Hi

Thats good to hear that you are having an improved hatching rate this time and now near to getting your chicks

I have used a lower humidity for many species of the years with a sucessful hatch rate. Here a link to an earlier thread i did which explains the relevance of the humidity to the health of the developing chick.
