I've notice that my sweet white silkie Daisy has a very dry, scaly beak that seems to be peeling. Is this something I should be concerned about? She seems completely healthy and normal in every other respect, and I don't see and dry or scaly tissue anywhere else on her body. She is about 18 weeks-old and is not laying yet, and shares a coop with four other chickens who do not seem to have this issue. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? Possibly a viitamin deficiency, or a mite or fungal infection?
Thanks so much!
