I have a broody- fancy lacey Wyandotte bantam. I inspected her today because I'm doing an ivermectin round for chiggers. Her skin is dry and flakey. Is this a pest problem?

That could be mites. The dark spots on the feathers and at the base of the feathers could be mite droppings. Regardless, if you've given them Ivermectin, that could take care of them. If you're using the 5% pour on, we've used two drops of that on the necks of our silkies for SLM (scaley leg mites) and repeated in 10 days.

You still may want to get some Permethrin powder. That's what most use for mites/lice. Kick the chickens out of the coop and apply that everywhere, including nest boxes and perches. That can be used on the chickens too. Especially get their rump area and under their wings.
