I got my rooster from a Freind. My rooster’s leg is now drying out ( he can’t move his toes. It’s solid) he already pecked one leg off. What should I do?

Welcome to BYC. How long have you had him? Is it cold where you live? Can you post some pictures of the leg? Does he have scaly leg mites or could he have frostbite?

Added a photo, can you identify it? And yes, it is cold where I live. I live in southern MB Canada

It looks like frostbite of all the toes. Unfortunately, he will lose all of his toes. The healthy skin is where the pink is seen. So sorry about your new rooster. So he has lost one foot already, and now he may loss the other? Chickens can live without there toes, but he may need a lot of extra care for awhile. Some might consider culling him, but there are roosters and hens with no feet who live fairly normal lives. I would bring him inside to warmth and use Vetericyn or Betadine on his toes. They will eventually fall off.
