Dual Purpose

My dual purpose birds are 29 weeks old, I got them at 27 weeks old, what will the meat be like by November?

That's my take from reading this sort of question and the answers every couple weeks.
 
Yeah, if you are going to eat them, you probably should do it now and my experience has been that most of the dual purpose breeds are too tough for baking, much better for chicken and dumplins, soup or casseroles. You can can it as well and get some great meat for chicken salad and sandwhiches.
