Dubai, U.A.E. New to BYC and need advice/assistance getting started in Dubai

Hello everyone: We are expats from California, living in Dubai. Our family wants to raise our own egg laying chickens (5 or less). I have been online looking for information/advice on how to get a luxury coop built here in Dubai as well as trying to find out where to purchase our chicks. Is there anyone out there currently located in Dubai who might be able to direct us? Fingers crossed!

I haven't seen anyone from UAE, perhaps you can ask some locals. I'm pretty sure the egg laying chickens there are very different than the ones most people on this site have.

Please keep us updated on how it turns put.

As for a coop, it would probably be better to just build one out of scrap.
What kind of predators do you have to deal with? Aerial I would assume, and snakes. Probably feral dogs?
