Can anyone tell if this is a hen or a rooster? And confirm if it is a D'uccle?

Are you pretty sure it is a male then? It is very docile, but then all of a sudden it started chasing all of the chickens out of the yard and not letting them in.

100 % on his 'maleness'. The pointy hackle, saddle, and wing coverlet feathers are a for sure secondary sex characteristic.

Thank you. That stinks. We are fairly new to raising chickens. We do animal rescue in KC and tons of chickens, roosters, and ducks have been taken in over the past couple of months, so we started fostering them and adopting them out. Many are breeds I've never seen or sexed before so I appreciate it.

Young Polish can be tough. The crest is somewhat spikey (typical of a cockerel), but I can not make out whether or not the bird has pointy saddle and hackle feathers. Not gonna guess on this one just yet.

Okay, here is a better angle. Is the Polish a cockerel or pullet? Any idea on the breed for the cockerel on the left? He's so tiny. I am baffled by these fancy birds. Thanks!
