Ok....so I am getting my first batch of Cayuga Duck Eggs and Sebostopol Goose eggs. I have never hatched either and I want to do everything just right. Any advice I can get will be much appreciated. I have hatched lots of chicken eggs, but I understand this is a lot different. I am so excited about this venture!! I look forward to anyone's advice!
There are some very fine, knowledgeable duck hatching members here. Not me, not yet anyway.
Have you tried a search? I know there are many discussions that have gone on. There have been a few real touch and go situations on the forum lately, too. Yow.
From what I read, you are so right - things are different with ducks. The only thing I know is that they take a good 28 days to develop. That's longer than chicken eggs, yes?
