Duck attacked by fox penicillin shots

I have a duck that was attacked by a fox on Friday none of my local vets deal with ducks he's doing okay but I wanna give him antibiotics so i went and got penicillin from tractor supply it's called Durvet Dura-Pen Penicillin, 100 mL is that safe to give to ducks? Please help

I don't have ducks but when one of my chickens is attacked I use vetericyn wound spray after washing the wound.

Yes, that is safe for ducks. I think the dose is 0.15 ml per pound once a day or every two days in the breast muscle.

I have been using that just want to make sure I fight off any infection before it starts as well as it's a pretty big wound

I remember when vetericyn first came out i was intrigued... So like anyone would I started to ask around to people in the medical world and all of them laugh at this product... Next time you see a scientist ask them about the science.. Its not possible. Im not sure if the toned it down a bit. But they use to claim it works for anything...

U know what a doctor will tell you yo use ifu dont have iodine, use soap and water!! Lol

It has some technical language, but you can see the objective is to remove as much of the sick tissue as possible and it gives tips using sugar and honey as a dressing to encourage this process.

Can u post a pic of the wound? Keep in mind Antibiotics destroy all the good flora which can cause immune issues. And should be a 3rd or 4th option!!

I think antibiotics are usually given in cases like this.
