Duck breed and hatching questions?

I got our ducks from Tractor Supply last August. I ended up with either a Pekin or White layer hen, Khaki Campbell drake, and the one I’m posting a picture of that I’m unsure about. So I have a few questions...

Can someone tell me what breed she is? She recently started laying, or at least I assume it’s her and not the Pekin because her egg is small, like a chicken egg. She is about the same size or slightly bigger than the Khaki Campbell drake.

What would her ducklings look like crossed with the khaki drake?

What will the ducklings between the Pekin hen and Khaki drake look like?

If the eggs are dirty, should they be washed before incubating?

She looks to be a Black Swedish duck. I can't comment on the crosses, but I wouldn't wash dirty eggs before incubating in order to preserve the bloom. I typically try to brush off dirt with a dry paper towel, if possible. I've set what could be considered very dirty duck and goose eggs and haven't experienced any contamination problems from doing so.

Ok thanks! I’ll set the eggs the way they are then. I thought she looks like a Swedish but she’s very much a chocolate brown color with no black. I read mixed opinions if chocolate Swedish is actually a thing. Then I thought maybe she might be a cross but didn’t know if tractor supply carried mixed.

Looking forward to seeing how the ducklings turn out (undoubtedly adorable, regardless of color 😊)...I think you could see some very interesting genetic expression.

It does seem that chocolate is a rare color that can occur with Swedish. Sometimes black feathering can also look brownish, too. Either way, she's a lovely girl.

Best of luck with your hatch!

I have a Pekin mom and khaki dad
All my babies have the same patterns but my boys are dark brown / black with redial brown in the pattern
My girls ate chocolate brown , light brown and some cream in the wings
Here is a few pictures
First two are my boys
Next two are 2 of my girls and mom and last is my boy again
