Duck Breeding Season

Does duck breeding season usually take place during a specific set of months? Or is it usually just from spring thaw until they hatch a clutch? None of my kids have started laying yet. But it's still below freezing around here, so no surprise.

My ducks breed everyday!

I have 4 females and have 4 eggs everyday,I take the eggs out it is freezing here dont want them to get any ideas of trying to hatch babies in this weather..So far they have never tryed to sit they are young..Maybe they will sit for me this Spring

Depends on the breed. I have ducks that are known for being lousy mothers. They lay the eggs and then have no clue what to do with them. My buff is a seasonal layer and wont start laying until Spring. The others can lay all year round.

My Call ducks start the first week of march. Last year I let them all set, so the stopped laying at around may, i think.

It all depends on the breed of duck...

My muscovies just started breeding, and already I have a female working on a clutch so she can set
