I am getting 10 ducklings this week. I'm working on a brooder, but I'd like to get some ideas on how big to build a night time coop. I've seen things like 2-3ft/bird. Keep in mind they are free ranging during the day time in our 3 acre pond.

Also, I don't think it will even be 18 feet, because it would include the nesting box as part of the length of the structure. The ducks will only be able to use the ground floor space, and the nest box is accessed from above with a pretty steep ramp. I did see that there is an "attached run" that they sell that is compatible. I found it on Amazon:

Looks like it would add about another 8 square feet on. Still might be a squeeze for 10 though. Maybe you could convert a little tool shed or something? Might get you more square footage.

Or a rabbit run? It has a ramp, but looks lower and not as steep. Might be adaptable to ducks.

We ended up building our own because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted already made.

Good luck!
