Duck Coops/Houses

Do you think ducks prefer their coop raised or on the ground? My 3'X3' coop is raised about a foot, and my ducks have zero interest in it. Not sure if they don't like the ramp, or being closed in.

Thoughts?!

Mine is raised about a foot off the ground with stairs. Mine have no problem with stairs. Ramps they just don't seem to get. My girls always had an easier time with stairs.

My duck houses are directly on the ground. I have a 70 gallon stock tank with a 2 ft dog ramp. My hens love to sleep and sun on the ramp.

They use the dog houses for nests and to get out of the really not-for-anything-to be-outside weather.

My hen house is about 3 ft off the ground. There's a ramp with treads that the ducks use at least twice a day.

The ducks also have access to a stream, which for much of my property is bordered by a canal wall (about 4ft from top to stream bed.) There's two ramps available to the ducks to get out of the stream and they use both. (One more than the other since the tread is mostly gone.)
