3 of 5 Ancona duck eggs have hatched so far with a 4th due to appear very soon. Our 5th egg had a nasty growing bruise but appears to have subsided (or it's on the other side that i can't see!). The staggering around of the ducklings finally pushed the egg up to the side so I can see a nicely sized air pocket but no movement otherwise. If it's pipped, I can't see it. I have a growing concern that the duckling is having problems - but it feels like I have another 24 hours before becoming really concerned. I've read the instructions on how to proceed - with a lot of patience and time. For those that have intervened with an overdue duck egg, what was your criteria to get involved?
