I have a duck egg on day 23 in the incubator, but I've had doubts about whether it's developing or not. It obviously did something while the infertile ones didn't, but I have not seen clear veins at all the whole time. It's a blue-green egg (looks white in the pictures but it's not) with a thick shell so I have hoped that's why I can't see into it well. Also important to mention is our power went out for anywhere from 4-12 hours when it was on day 12. It cooled to about 60 before the power came back on. I don't know if that killed it or maybe just set back development? There is definite shadowing on about half the egg, and when I turn the egg the contents don't move around inside. It doesn't smell at all. The air cell is still growing. But lockdown is supposed to be in 2 days and if it is developing, I don't know if it'll be ready. I tried to get pictures from all angles. Any ideas as to whether I should hope?

It's hard to see in your pictures. :( Are you positive your incubator temperature is right?
Is it only one egg?
If your temperature is right, I'd say it isn't good. :(
Sorry, it's hard to see for real too! I have an aquarium thermometer inside by the edge where the egg is and it's reading about 100 degrees, so the temperature does seem to be accurate. Yes, that was the only egg that wasn't for sure infertile ☹️

I can't bring myself to throw it away still because the shadow has gotten darker, the air cell has grown, and it doesn't smell at all. I did read a thread where a duckling was alive at day 33, which is today for this one, but even if it is alive it isn't ready to hatch so I can't imagine it would make it. How long does a power outage usually delay hatch for? Should I wait until it starts to smell to be sure?

:( Pretty sure it's a quitter, sorry.
It should be moving like crazy and blood vessels should be really prominent. When you shine into the egg it usually makes a red glow.
