Duck egg turning

So I've set a bunch of duck eggs in my incubator, they've been in for 7 days now. Been turning them 3 times a day by hand, they're on their sides as I've always thought that best for duck eggs. Problem is, due to family circumstances, I have to go away for 3 days now this weekend, unexpected and unplanned. There will be no one around that I could ask to turn the eggs. I have an auto turner for the incubator, but the eggs would need to sit in it vertically. Would putting the eggs in the auto turner for the 3 days I'm gone have a detrimental effect? I'm figuring it's better than not turning at all, but it's something I've never encountered before. Any help from previous experience would be greatly appreciated!

Many folks, that's all they have is an incubator that has the eggs sitting vertical. Brinseas that I own are vertical and I've hatched ducks in there. Just make sure it's small end down.

Wishing you a great hatch!
