Ok so over the course of the last few weeks when I went to candle the muscovy eggs under my broodies I have had ti throw out several rotting eggs. Today I threw out 10 eggs. They smelled like absolute death and the inside looked liquidy when I candled them. Why is this happening? Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future? I have noticed that these 3 hens dont turn them like Alice did. Could that be it? I am afraid of letting these hens sit on eggs in the future now. Please I don't want this to happen again.

No they are definitely broody. I marked the eggs when they were laid along with the date. They are due to hatch this week

Please @Miss Lydia or @casportpony, do you have any idea why this is happening or how to prevent it?? I dont want to keep losing all these eggs
I've seen this happen too. Are their nests really clean and dry? What type of food do you feed?

@casportpony Yes clean and dry. I feed them Purina Flock raise, cracked corn, worms. Fresh water twice a day. Fresh pool water every other day. We try to keep everything as sanitary as possible.
