we have one male and a female Kakhi cambell. We have been collecting their eggs every day now. After candleing the eggs we see nothing. Are they not mating? Any suggestions?

Thanks
Kim

If not incubated you can crack them open and check for fertility. once most look fertile you can start collecting for incubation.

If they have been incubated, here is a pretty good chart of what you should see when candling if they are developing normally.

So I will gather them. And I shouldn’t candle them as I am collecting them or just put eggs in incubator?
I am putting the eggs in an egg carton and lifting ends to rotate them.
I did crack the duck egg and it had white spot on yolk. So I will start to incubate after I gather the next 6 eggs?

They all have the white spots, you need to have a closer look at the spot and compare it to the picture above showing fertilized and unfertilized eggs. It can be hard to tell if you're not really sure what you are looking at/for.

You can candle the eggs before you put a batch in the incubator if you want to, but not to check for development. It can show up any cracks in the eggs that you can't see under normal conditions. You can check and also mark the air cell on the eggs, this is useful for tracking as you incubate.
