Duck eggs under my chicken internal pipping day 23!!

Help, after one of my girls got broody I popped some duck eggs under her, this is all very new to me so I'm learning as I go but thought it would take 28 days until they hatched, today is day 23 so I thought I'd candle them to see how they're doing and one has internally popped

now I'm worried that it's too early and something will go wrong - any advice please

"Relax" and let nature take it's course. In my experience duck eggs can take a long time from pipping to zipping and hatching. Let the hen do her thing and try to be patient.

The eggs are cheeping under her and she's cooing back, should I candle again tomorrow or just leave them alone now?

In the name of preserving constant temperature and humidity, I would leave her and the eggs alone.

Thank you, still no ducklings :/ had a peek when she came out for food there is a slight crack in the egg, am starting to worry now, will it be ok in there? Will mum help if it's struggling?
