I just tried a duck egg for the first time and I'm in love. The yolk is much richer and it has a different taste to it. I found the duck egg much easier to cook too, I didn't have any issues with it breaking or wanting to when I flipped it!

Thoughts? Preferences?

I definitely prefer duck eggs, I no longer eat our chicken's eggs. The yolk is always the best part, it's so much bigger and richer than chicken eggs. I have yet to make anything with them that I haven't liked. Boiled, poached, scrambled, fried, in homemade mayo, cakes, cookies, puddings, quiche, frittata, omelets (which seem to hold together better because of their density).

I've found that you have to take care not to cook them at too high of a temperature or they turn out rubbery/tough.

I actually cooked mine at a high temperature and didn't have that issue in the least.

Hmm, when I cooked the first egg I scrambled it and cooked it on med/high and it turned out tough, another time I cooked a frittata at 400 F and it came out tough. It could have been something else, I just assumed it was the temp from those two instances.

Mine was cooked on 400, it may have been the cooking time?
