Duck eggs-yuck or yum?

I am getting some Blue Swedish ducks, and I am allergic to eggs, duck and chicken. I simply give my eggs away to the people at my (very small) church. Can anyone tell me if duck eggs are any less appealing than chicken eggs? Will people at my church want them? I don't want to find out after I get ducks that everyone there hates ducks eggs and then have a million duck eggs rolling around that no one wants.

Some people like them as a staple, others use them solely for baking. If you find yourself with too many, you can scramble them with fruits and veggies or boil them and chop them up and feed them to all your fowl as treats and protein boosters for layers. You just don't want what you feed them to LOOK like eggs.

I just hope people like them! My chickens will be happy if people don't, though.

No one in my house will eat them. Do know many that want them for baking.

Personally, I like duck eggs better than chicken eggs. They have more flavor and are more substantial in texture- whether it's in a cake, scrambled or whatever. Hard boiled duck eggs are wonderful!

Surely, some of the folks at church will at least be willing to try some duck eggs for free.

I agree! Especially since they're free. I gave away my first eggs, and then everybody wanted some, and I just got into the habit of giving them away and not selling them! And since my church is so small, I can't sell it to some people and give it to others, so I guess I'm in the business of giving away my eggs. I'll tell everyone what you said, I'm sure some people will like them!

Too thick and rich for me....I either hatch them, toss them out or feed to my cat and Dogs.....
